🥙 Arabian Puff Recipe | Crispy & Creamy Party Snack
If you’re craving something crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, this Arabian Puff is the ultimate treat! 😍
It’s a flavorful snack made with shredded chicken, mayonnaise, and aromatic spices — wrapped in soft pita bread, coated with a crunchy crumb layer, and deep-fried to golden perfection.
It was even part of my barat menu, and today, it brought back the same beautiful memories when I made it at home — my brother loved it! 💖
🌿 Ingredients
For the Filling:

5 pita breads

200 g boiled chicken, shredded

½ cup mayonnaise

1 tsp mustard paste

1 tsp paprika powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp black pepper powder

1 tbsp red chili flakes

1 tbsp chili garlic sauce

1 tbsp ketchup

Salt to taste
For the Slurry (Coating):

3 tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)

2 tbsp rice flour

2 tbsp corn flour
-
1 tsp black pepper powder

Salt to taste

Water (as needed to make a thick batter)

Bread crumbs for coating

Oil for deep frying
👩🍳 Directions
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, mayonnaise, mustard paste, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, chili flakes, chili garlic sauce, ketchup, and salt. Mix until everything is well combined and creamy.
Step 2: Assemble the Puffs
Take a pita bread and place the filling on half of it. Fold into a half-moon shape and seal the edges with a little water.
Step 3: Make the Slurry
Mix all-purpose flour, rice flour, corn flour, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Gradually add water to form a thick batter.
Step 4: Coat & Fry
Dip each stuffed pita puff in the slurry, coat with bread crumbs, and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown and crisp.
Step 5: Serve Hot
Serve your Arabian Puffs with garlic mayo or ketchup. Perfect for iftar, tea-time, or parties!
